Azalea Trail - Lafayette LA USA

The azalea bushes were gorgeous, and the employees were kind, welcoming, knowledgeable, and legitimately excited about their town. And after visiting, I understand why. Nice little trail over the water here, and the maps they had to drive the rest of the azalea trail were very nice. They had good recommendations and we even got to meet the local “scaredy cat” I just wish I remembered how to say it in Cajun French like the lady told us! A great stop.

I was surprised but happy to stop for a while during my trip to New Orleans. They didn't have maps of New Orleans, but that was okay. I explored the rest area and its surroundings. Check out the pictures of the property.

This is a cool little stop it's not really a trail, but there is a walkway over the water, but it's not very far it's more of a visitor center. But definitely stop by feed the fish and turtles, taking a 5 to 10 min walk around the place get some pamphlets on shows and events. The young lady working was very nice and informative. She gave us bread to feed, but of course, we had to come back with more. There was just so much life in the water. I know we didn't bring enough food.
