The Lafayette Museum

Good small museum showcasing local history through this historic home. Exhibits and experience would be enhanced with a greater focus on telling the story of how slavery was a core part the foundation of the Mouton family house, the city of Lafayette, and the surrounding area.

Great Historic Museum. The Hostess was very Polite and proficient. I recommend you visit this museum and check out the rich history it has to offer.

Wanted to do something in Lafayette before heading back home and stopped here. $10 per person to get in. We watched a very informative video of the history of the museum and the items we would be seeing. We really enjoyed looking at all the items, pictures, furniture and clothing from so many years ago.
