How these rankings work

We capture full Facebook threads asking about crab in Acadiana, parse out the business names mentioned, dedupe aliases (so “Pelicans On the Bayou” and “Pelicans” count as one vote), and rank by how many distinct people recommended each spot. No paid placements, no algorithmic guessing — just the names that keep coming up.
