Abacus Coffee

We finally got the chance to try Abacus after our workout today, and it was a great experience overall. We ordered the dark & white chocolate peppermint mocha, and for the size, the price felt very reasonable. I personally would love the coffee to be just a bit stronger, but that’s an easy fix—I’ll just ask for an extra shot of espresso next time. The coffee shop has a very welcoming atmosphere, with décor that’s pleasant without feeling overbearing. It’s a perfect spot to sit and chat with friends, settle in to study, or simply relax with a good book. A fun bonus is the ice cream parlor, which makes it a great place to stop with family as well. As a visitor to Opelousas, I can definitely see myself coming back here again in the future.

Tried for the first time today! We’re guaranteed customers, the s’mores latte is so good! The workers were also super nice and very helpful! We absolutely will be returning!

This is a hidden gem in a small city. The coffee was great and the staff were extremely friendly. The room is spacious and bright with lots of comfortable seating and ample outlets to work. There’s even a quiet/reading room in the back with low lighting, a couch, and big chairs. If I lived in the city I would be here often.
