When we lived up this area I ate this once a week and it was awesome but this time Worst steak I have had!! It had a lot of burnt areas and tasted burnt. Supposed to be medium it was close to well done. Sad

Among the roadside food stands and Mom n Pop cafes, DC'S stands out for its more refined atmosphere. Not fancy, but nice. Great menu with somewhat reasonable prices. Service was great. We shared stuffed catfish plate and a cup of etouffee. Everything cooked professionally and served nicely. Great find in Eunice.

So it was 8pm on a Sunday, when we got there the young woman said "Hold on I got to clean a table for you" not hello, not welcome to DC's, nope. Then she disappears into the back and comes back six minutes later and says, "So how many?" I said two, she replies as she is grabbing two menus, two silverware sets, and a rag and spray, "come on". Mind you this is no where my first time there, but it is my last. Then she proceeds to clean off the table. Mind you they were not busy like that at this time I literally parked almost at the door. Okay things happen, she was not welcoming but she might be having a bad day. The server came and took our drink and appetizer order. She was smiles and welcoming. The drinks and appetizers came and all was good. Then the chicken fried steaks came, I asked for potato salad instead of fries. The toast was not even toasted and buttered on both sides, for mine, my husband's toast was fine. I said that isn't toast that's buttered bread. The friendly waitress said let me get you a new one. My potato salad though was first of hot. Who serves hot potato salad in Louisiana? Plus zero seasoning at all, it was mashed potatoes mixed with mayo and a little mustard. It was nasty. And the chicken fried steaks had barely any gravy and were way over cooked. And when the waitress brought me the new toast, it was slightly toasted and bone dry, not a bit of butter on it. And that fabulous meal they wanted 53 dollars. So when the waitress came I asked if I could be credited the two dollars for the potato salad swap since I only tasted the first bite and did not touch it after that. The waitress said she would ask the manager. She came back and said she did it, but the ticket amount was exactly the same. She had a copy that showed the 2 dollars taken off with a total of 51 dollars, but the copy to sign said 53 dollars. When I asked the waitress about it she said it was the 3.9 percent charge for paying with a card. Um I can math and that 3.9 percent don't come up to the exact same 2 dollars it comes up to 1.53 cents and I know that fee does not show up on your reciept you sign because this is not the only resturant I go to over my half century of life and it doesn't show up until it hits your bank. So lying to me and basically stealing 2 losey dollars after giving me a crap hostess and garbage food you way over charged for tells me you don't care for my business. So I no longer need to go there.
