El Rodeo Mexican Grill

A nice Mexican restaurant in Eunice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The portions were big and the prices were inexpensive. The chips and salsa were delicious, but overall the seasoning was lacking imo. I will be back to El Rodeo!

I really really had high hopes for this place. The chips and salsa were great. Fresh tasting and I loved that the salsa actually had cilantro and onions and not just tomato sauce. However the food disappointed me so much. I got the Chili Rellenos and the meat inside was overcooked but the breading on outside wasn’t cooked. Was very doughy. I took it off but couldn’t eat much. Rice was good. Husband had fish tacos and he said they were very tasty however they were plain)no sauce of any kind). They brought a plate of lettuce with a 1/4 slice of tomato. So he only had a bit of tomato on only 1 single taco. Service was good. Not sure if try this place again though. Passing through visiting relatives.

On a positive note. I man that took my order over the phone was nice. You can read what I ordered in the picture. Look at the shrimp I received. It was missing the stuffing. No jalapeño and no cheese. How do you miss that? Shrimp had no seasoning and was like rubber. I couldn’t swallow it. It was very expensive for what I got. The rice and beans were ok. Not impressed!
