Keller's Bakery Downtown

I ordered a sheet cake about 2 weeks before my husband’s birthday. I did the order in person at the downtown location and I paid for the order at that time. When I arrived to pick up the cake, At first, they could not find it. Finally after about 10 minutes she discovered that it was in the cooler. This gave me a mini heart attack because this was for his 50th birthday celebration. FYI…The lady that helped me was very nice. However, the cake was very dry and nasty! As a child I’ve always gotten my cakes from Kelley’s and they’ve always been good. This time left me disappointed and embarrassed to serve this to our guests. Needless to say the cake went in the trash and I will not be ordering cake from them again. Do to my experience I would not recommend this place for cakes, but I highly recommend them for king cakes.

If you haven't tried their king cakes you're missing out. The Danish pastry they use coupled with the various cream cheese fruit fillings is phenomenal. These king cakes are pricey, but absolutely worth the amount.

I was extremely disappointed with the King Cake I bought from them. I found two strands of hair baked into the cake, which was absolutely disgusting. For a business in the food service industry, this is an unacceptable level of carelessness and poor hygiene. What makes it worse is that their King Cakes aren’t cheap at all, so paying that much and ending up with something inedible felt like throwing my money straight into the trash. This experience completely turned me off, and I would not recommend this bakery to anyone.
