Meche's On The Vermilion

I visited from out of town and I heard this was the best place to get a king cake. I haven’t tried one so I definitely wanted to try it. I had it filled with Bavarian and strawberry just to go all out for my first time. I have no regrets, it was so light and not overly sweet at all! It even has shimmer on it! 10/10 wish I could get this again back home. This king cake was nearly overfilled and so so good! I even had an opportunity to meet the owner, he was welcoming and very polite. Not overly sweet and soft! 10/10

Kolacies were amazing as usual. We were however disppointed with the donuts. Meches used to have the lightest and fluffiest. They were heavy and dense. Very disappointing

Best donuts on the planet! And during Mardi Gras, it’s my go to spot for a King Cake in Abbeville. I no longer live in the state so coming here is the only place I can get real donuts. Dunkin’ and Krispy Kreme could never come close.
