Soul Haus Kitchen

I'm in Lafayette for work, coming from Houston. I asked a friend (local) to recommend a restaurant that I could get some good quick food from and she recommended this spot. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a woman named Ms Misty. She had a wonderful smile and welcoming presence to her. I let her know that I'm in from out of town and asked her to order for me. She ordered me gumbo with sides of potato salad and mac and cheese. This food is absolutely delicious! The mac and cheese is cheesy with some sort of a cajun spice to it and the gumbo flavor is absolutely flawless. It has sausage and chicken and it could not be better for this cold day. I will absolutely come back to this restaurant when I visit town again.

I stopped by on my way from Texas to Florida. Did a Google search on best soul food in Lafayette and it DID Not disappoint! My granny was from Louisiana and taught all us girls how to cook good southern food. It was like sitting at my Granny's table all over again. I got the SoulFiya combo with greens potato salad and substitute the fries for red beans and rice. For under $20 I got enough food to feed me for 3 times! Also comes with a drink. I got tea! I had the opportunity to try this joint yesterday, and man O man, the food was AMAZING!! I got the 4 wing plate with two sides and a cornbread. The fries snuck up on me cause I didn't know they were included as well. The wings were hot, fresh, crunchy, and seasoned well. The beans were really good. The Mac N Cheese was superb!! The fries were hot and seasoned well, and the cornbread was good as well. I was actually really impressed and the lady that took my order was really nice. She also told me Happy New Year when she brought my order! The atmosphere was pretty chill and was quiet when I was there! Give this place a try Lafayette!!!!
